Sticky Holidays! This post will remain sticky until Dec 31

Here's a way to get on at least one Christmas list this year.:

I want to spread some holiday cheer but I need your help. If you have a post about the holidays, leave a comment or an excerpt below with a link to your post so we can all enjoy it.

Why?
I’m starting a blog. I have no idea what a blog is, really but a friend suggested that, as someone who loves to write, it would be a good idea for me.

I’ve surfed a few other blogs and have found that comments can be made on posts. This is a neat prospect but not one that I am particularly interested in. I guess I’m starting this because I want to leave a diagram of my thought process and memories for my family in the event of a case of mistaken identity that leads to my being whacked by Guido and the boys.

I am a Christian but I don’t believe in shoving my faith down the throats of others. If you want to know about it, ask…otherwise I’ll accept you as a fellow flawed human and we’ll live our lives without argument.

I’ve been married to Mrs. Muzikdude for 18 years at the time of this writing and we have two teenaged kids. Our son, Dr. Smellgood, is 17 and our daughter, Drama Mama, is 14. They stay in their rooms playing video games or talking on the phone, which makes them pretty low maintenance if you ask me. They remember who I am…that’s all I can ask.

The name, Muzikdude, comes from the fact that I sing and play guitar. I’ve always loved music. I started out on the internet as MusicalCarpenter since I was also a carpenter in the Air Force for most of my career and continue to do carpentry on the side. When I switched IPSs my screen name was too long for their email so I tried Musicdude, which was already taken. After a few attempts at different spellings, I ended up with the current version. I spent 2 years bouncing around various discussion forums with Muzikdude as a user name so that’s who people know me as. They’ve shortened the name to Muzik over time so that’s where the name of the site comes from.

If you’re a casual passer by to this site, I invite you to stay awhile and read. I know this is the internet and I don’t expect what I publish here to be private. Just know that I didn’t set out to entertain you as much as I’ve set out to entertain myself.
